One of the most prestigious universities in the world awaits you on this free walking tour of Cambridge: get ready to stroll through the elegant gardens of the famous colleges and admire their most important monuments! Having met your guide on Market Hill, you'll embark on your route to the nearby Great St Mary's Church. Did you know that this Medieval temple was the location of the funeral of the late great physicist Stephen Hawking?
Walking onwards to King's College, one of the many student centres that make up the University of Cambridge, you'll get to admire the façade of its chapel while you learn all about the history of the city. Not far from here, you'll see the Corpus Clock, and your guide will reveal the significance of its symbolism.
You'll pass by The Eagle, one of the best known pubs in Cambridge, on the way to the Cavendish Laboratories, the Physics Department whose researchers have won 29 Nobel Prizes so far. Reaching Pembroke College, you'll feel immersed in the university spirit of the city.
