The Istanbul sightseeing bus is a practical way to tour the city with three names. You can hop on and off at any of the stops, allowing you to explore the city at your own pace.
Route and stops
The Istanbul sightseeing bus follows 2 routes and 19 stops. Tour the essential sights of the city between two continents and two worlds on a double-decker open-top bus. Throughout the journey you'll enjoy interesting English language commentary about the history and sights you drive past.
The unmissable stops on the tour are: Sultanahmet Square, Galata Bridge, and the Beylerbeyi Palace.

How does it work?
The ticket is valid for 24, 48 or 72 consecutive hours from when it is used for the first time. For example, if a 48-hour ticket is initially used on Monday at 3 pm, it will be valid until Wednesday at 3 pm.
During this time, you can get on and off the bus as many times as you want. This makes it easy for you to visit the unmissable sights of the city, such as the Blue Mosque, the Topkapi Palace, the Basilica Cistern and, of course, the Hagia Sophia, the most iconic sight in Istanbul.
Although when making the reservation you will be asked for a start date, you can use the service over the twelve months following the start date. When you have made your reservation, we'll send you a voucher you must hand in on the first bus you get on.
Timetables and frequency
- Red line: from 9:15 am to 5:45 pm, every 30 minutes. The complete journey lasts 2 hours.
- Blue line: from 10 am to 4 pm, every hour. The complete tour lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Temporary closures and schedules
Until further notice, the Istanbul tourist bus will only operate on the red line from 11 am to 5 pm.
Important information
The Istanbul Tourist Bus ticket includes free entrance to Miniaturk and the Naval Museum.
- Miniaturk: hop off at stop 25 on the blue line.
- Naval Museum: reached via stop 6 on the red line.
