Climb up Melbourne's tallest skyscraper and enjoy the impressive panoramic views from the Eureka Skydeck when you take our fantastic guided tour. You will also explore the city center and treat your senses in the stalls of the wonderful Queen Victoria Market.
Eureka Tower Skydeck and Queen Victoria Market
If you want a marvelous bird's eye view of Melbourne, we will meet at the entrance of the Eureka Skydeck at 10 am. The viewpoint is located on the 88th floor of the Eureka Tower skyscraper, which at almost 1000 feet high, is the second tallest building in Australia. It's enough to give you vertigo almost thinking about it.
As soon as the elevator doors open, you will be greeted by a marvelous view over the Yarra River and beyond. As we make our way around from window to window, a 360° panoramic view of Melbourne's skyline will reveal itself to you. You'll see Prince's Bridge and Queens Bridge, which date back to the late 1800s, and beautiful green spaces such as Alexandra Gardens and much more.
The more adventurous of you will want to enter The Edge, a hair-raising, glass-bottom space that protrudes from the side of the building. During the visit, you'll hear about some of the amazing features of the Eureka Tower, such as the tragic story behind why it has a red stripe going down its façade.
After, we descend the tower and begin a walking tour around the center of Melbourne. The itinerary focuses on taking in some of the city's most popular urban art exhibits. Afterward, we will stop at a local eatery to enjoy a tasty regional dish and a delicious mug of coffee.
With our taste buds satisfied, we'll catch a city tram to the iconic Queen Victoria Market. Here, you will find all sorts of delightful products from meat, seafood, clothes, handicrafts, and jewelry. After learning all about the history of this fabulous market, which is more than 100 years old, our tour ends at 1 pm and you are free to shop for some fantastic souvenirs of your brilliant trip.
