Penang Island Tour

At 9 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in George Town and start a minibus tour on one of the most beautiful roads in the area: Batu Ferringhi.

Along the way, we will admire miles of white sand beaches until we reach a picturesque fishing village. Here we will learn about the importance of fishing on the island and visit a local fruit stand. Afterward, we will attend a batik workshop, where we will learn about this traditional textile decoration technique.

We will continue the tour by heading to the Temple of the Snake. This small sanctuary is home to a large number of these reptiles and you will encounter the fearsome vipers in the Wagler pit.

According to the monks of the area, the humidity of the environment along with the smoke from the incense leaves them immobile and harmless. After this peculiar visit, we will make a stop at a local restaurant so that you can taste the traditional gastronomy on your own.

With our batteries charged, we will set off for our next destination, Kek Lok Si, the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia and also with the most fevered following. Afterward, we will ride the funicular to the top of Penang Hill to enjoy one of the best views of the island.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in George Town, where we will arrive between 3 pm and 4 pm.

Children under two years old do not need a reservation for the activity, as they can take the tour for free.
