Would you like to return from Uzbekistan having learnt how to cook its most typical dishes? With this private Uzbek cooking class in Samarkand, you'll become a chef for a day and prepare a delicious pilaf.
Traditional Uzbek Cooking Class
We'll meet at a time of your choice at the Gur-e Amir mausoleum in the heart of Samarkand. From here, we'll go to the place where we'll enjoy an Uzbek cooking class. Let's go!
The traditional dish we'll prepare is pilaf or plov, one of the star recipes of Bukhara's gastronomy. First of all, we'll prepare all the necessary ingredients to cook this delicacy. Following the chef's explanations, you'll cut up the meat and vegetables to make a sofrito in a traditional Uzbek casserole. Vegetarians will be able to cook a plov without meat. Afterwards, we'll add rice and pour some water so that the ingredients are cooked in their juice.
When it's ready, the time will come to taste the pilaf. Once it's ready you'll be able to taste your own creation, you'll have also learnt how to cook a typical Uzbek dish. You'll love it!
After an hour and a half, we'll say goodbye and end the Uzbek cooking class.
