Safari in Minneriya National Park

At 1:30 pm on the day of the tour, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sigiriya and head out on the short drive to the Minneriya National Park.

Having bought our entrance tickets for the nature reserve, we'll begin your journey by 4x4 through the park in search of its most famous inhabitants: Asian elephants. Are you ready for an incredible safari?

Minneriya is a protected natural area in which many of Sri Lanka's diverse native species of animals live, but the true stars of this national park are undoubtedly the elephants. As soon as we enter the reserve, you'll start to see the first of these gentle giants.

This is a unique opportunity to see large groups of elephants in their natural habitat. Watch how they interact with each other as we get unbelievably close to them! We'll also see any number of other creatures in the national park, like water buffalos, deer and even crocodiles.

At the end of the safari, you'll be dropped back off at your hotel at around 6:30 pm.

The entrance to the national park is not included in the price of the tour. You'll have to pay at the ticket offices at the park entrance on the day of the activity. The price is 37 USD per person.
