Los Arenales route

Leaving Tunuyán behind, we will head into the Andes mountain range. We will follow alongside the Arroyo Grande river until we reach the rocky canyon of Los Arenales, where our hike starts.

We will follow a path that begins next to the river and gradually climbs up among the rocks for more than an hour. You will discover an amazing lagoon at the summit.

We will stop in this beautiful setting for a while so you can enjoy some typical Argentine empanadas and Mendoza wine before we head back down to Tunuyan.

Puntanos Pass route

We leave Tunuyan and drive to the foot of Cerro Pajaritos mountain, where our hike begins. The path climbs up around the mountain and offers us spectacular views across Uco Valley. Eventually, we will reach a rock ledge which looks out over the stunning landscape. From there, we then descend into the canyon which is abundant with the lush green vegetation that is typical to this region.

At the bottom, we will stop close to the river, where you will eat some local empanadas and drink some Mendoza wine before we begin our return journey to Tunuyan.
