Cambridge University Guided Tour

Step into the historic heart of Cambridge and discover its great cultural heritage. On this guided tour you'll get to know the city that inspired scientists, politicians and leading writers.

Cambridge University Guided Tour

We'll meet at the entrance to King's College at the selected time, and spend an hour and a half exploring the beautiful city of Cambridge.

During the tour, we'll travel back in time and find out about a thousand years of human history, from an Anglo-Saxon church tower to a contemporary clock that curiously doesn't tell the time correctly. You'll have the chance to see the room in which Newton wrote his theory of gravity and get to know the secrets of the apple tree myth. We'll also visit the pub where Watson and Crick announced one of the greatest discoveries of the twentieth century. While we explore you'll be impressed by the Gothic and Neoclassical architecture.

The student atmosphere in Cambridge is one of its key features, so the tour guide will be a University of Cambridge graduate or current student with inside knowledge of the city's history and architecture. They'll also give you a look into what the students really get up to including the “college parents” and the May Balls, you'll also learn interesting facts about each college including which is the most luxurious. The tour will take us inside two colleges such as the beautiful Pembroke College Chapel and gardens.

Some of the remarkable highlights of the tour include Trinity College, The Wren Library, Corpus Christi College, Queens’ College, King’s College backs, Clare College, The Senate House, Gonville and Caius College, St Catherine’s College, Great St Mary’s Church, The Eagle Pub, The Corpus Clock, and The Round Church. You'll be sure to enjoy the tour around the inspiring city full of peculiar stories.
