Poblet Monastery and Montblanc Trip
After picking you up at your hotel in Salou at 9 am, we will set off for the Monastery of Santa Maria de Poblet, just a 50-minute drive away.
Upon arrival, we will begin a one and a half-hour guided tour of this fascinating monumental complex. Did you know that it is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site?
Before exploring its different rooms we will watch an amazing 3D video that will tell us all about the history of the monastery. The abbey, whose origins date back to the 12th century, still houses a community of more than 20 monks today. We will enter the main cloister, the chapels, the cellar, and the magnificent Royal Pantheon.
After we have finished at the monastery, we'll drive to Montblanc, only 15 minutes away. For half an hour, we will stroll through the charming old part of this village, famous for having the largest walled enclosure in Catalonia. You will feel like you have traveled back to the Middle Ages!
We will observe different religious spaces, such as the church Santa María de la Mayor, the old convent of San Francisco, the church of San Miguel, and more.
We will end the tour by dropping you off at your hotel at approximately 1 pm.
