They say everyone should experience the Rio de Janeiro carnival at least once in their life. With this activity, you'll get the opportunity to see the parade in the unique Sambódromo Carioca.
Rio Carnival Experience
When reserving your activity you can choose between two options to enjoy the Rio carnival.
Watch the Sambódromo Parade
If you choose this option, we'll pick you up from the hotel and take you to the famous Sambódromo, which is a full 550 metres long! Once you're there you'll fall in love with the music and the dances on display in one of the most impressive spectacles in the world!
Samba dancers on the top of fabulous floats, and breathtaking costumes full of glittering colour. You'll be witness to one of Rio's most famous experiences, the annual Brazillian carnival festivities. You'll see six of the most prestigious samba schools in the city as you dance to the sound of the drums! We'll watch from sections 4 and 5 of the stands.
Take part in the Sambódromo Parade + Costume
With this option, when arriving at the Rio de Janeiro Sambodromo you should head directly to the changing rooms to try on one of the very costumes the professional dancers wear during the show.
Then, when you're well and truly in the role of a professional samba dancer, you get to take part in the parade, being one of the stars of one of the most televised spectacles in the world! Want to feel like one of the dancers? This is your chance!
Hotel Pick Up
This activity only includes pick up in some of the areas of Rio de Janeiro: city centre, (Flamengo, Botafogo, Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana) or from the cruise port. If your accommodation is not located within these areas, please tell us when making your reservation, so that an alternative meeting point can be arranged.
Once we get to the sambódromo, we'll give you instructions as to where to go to enjoy the activity, as well as pick up times and location for the return journey.

Covid-19 Measures
All of our providers comply with local legislation and applicable health recommendations regarding protection and safety, to help avoid the spread of Covid-19. Specifically, the provider of this tour will apply the following measures:
- A safe distance of one metre between clients will be maintained whenever possible.
- The use of masks is obligatory. The client must bring their own mask.
- Alcohol gel will be available before, during, and after the service.
- All those running the service (guide, driver etc...) will wear a mask throughout its duration.
- Handing out of printed material such as maps or brochures will be avoided.
- The temperature and wellness of all those taking part in the service will be monitored daily, excluding and maintaining in quarantine any who display fever or symptoms.
- The transport used will be disinfected before and after each service and deep-cleaned every 24 hours.
- Showing your voucher on your phone will be enough, and it is not necessary to print anything.
